Information Centre and Museum.
In accordance with our policy of providing information about the
activities of the Port and its history, the Port Authority has opened
an Information Centre and a Museum in what used to be warehouses
on the Avenida de la Raza, one of the main roadways of the Latin
American Exposition in 1929.
The exhibits which occupy an area of 1.200 m2, confirm
the historical and current importance of the Port of Seville.
The centre offers visitors the possibility of contemplating the
Port's evolution, the infrastructures and equipments typical of
the different periods in history.
Models, machinery and audiovisual presentations are some of the
elements available, to which we must add the collection of the Port's
technological assets.
Opened by the President of the Andalusian Regional Government last
July 7, the Information Centre represents a major effort of the
PAS to further awareness about the Port's reality. Visits to the
Centre are free of charge and must be arranged in advance.
The investment made is around 90 million pesetas of which 20 million
has been provided by the Port Foundation.
